Health and of sound
disposing mind and
memory Do make this my
last Will and Testament
as follows ffirst I
direct that all my just
Debts that I shall owe
at the time of my
decease the charge of my
funeral and the Proving
this my Will be paid and
satisfied Item I give
unto Thomas Roake of the
Borough of Southwark
Distiller and Richard
Smith of Wapping Street
in the County of
Middlesex Hatter eleven
hundred Pounds Old South
Sea Annuities standing
in the said Company
Books in my name In
Trust for the following
Purposes Vizt I direct
that they the said
Thomas Roake and Richard
Smith do receive the
Interest and Dividends
on the said Eleven
hundred Pounds as the
same shall become due
from time to time and
pay the same to my
Brother and Sister John
and Hannah Tickner of
Guildford Surry during
the term of their
natural Lives or the
Life of the longest
liver of them and after
the decease of the said
John and Hannah Tickner
I direct my Executors to
Transfer three hundred
pounds of the said
Annuities unto Elizabeth
Tickner John and Hannah
Tickner and ffifty
pounds to each of the
five children of Richard
Elkins of Guildford in
Surry if they shall live
to attain the age of
twenty one years but
should one or more of
them not live to attain
the age of twenty one
years his or her part to
go to the survivors
share and share alike
But if it should happen
that but one of them
shall live to the Age of
twenty one years then I
direct Trustees to
Transfer the said sum of
two hundred and fifty
pounds which was to have
been transferred to the
five Children of the
said Richard Elkins unto
that surviving one and I
direct my said Executors
to transfer and unto
Robert Sparks of Wonish
in Surry ffarmer one
hundred and fifty Pounds
of the said Annuities
And to John Sparks the
Son of Robert Sparks if
he shall live to attain
the age of twenty one
years one hundred pounds
of the said Annuities
but if he shall not live
to attain the age of
twenty one Years then I
direct my executors to
transfer the said one
hundred pounds to his
Brothers and Sisters or
the survivors or
survivor of them that
shall live to attain the
Age of twenty one years
I direct my Executors to
transfer to William
Sparks of Hanscombe in
Surry ffarmer One
hundred Pounds of the
aforesaid annuities I
direct my said Executors
to transfer to Sarah
Bachaler Wife of James
Bachaler of Godalming in
Surry ffifty pounds of
the aforesaid annuities
And I direct my
Executors to transfer to
Elizabeth Short ffifty
pounds of the aforesaid
annuities and to John
Short her Brother both
Grandchildren of the
said John and Hannah
Tickner one hundred
pounds of the aforesaid
Annuities after they
shall attain the age of
twenty five years or
sooner if my Executors
think Proper I Give to
the Children of Martin
Neave of Salisbury in
the County of Wilts
ffifty Pounds each of
them (by his now Wife
Lydia) and I give to
Mary Neave one Silver
Coral and to Sarah Neave
one Sattin Petty Coat I
give to the Children of

Street by his now Wife

each of them I give to

case with six tea spoons
tongs and strainers I
give to Robert Sparks of
Wonish one Silver
Tankard I give to John

Spoon I give to Sarah

give my Linnen and
wearing apparel except
what is by me above
given or what I direct
my Executors to dispose
of by any Instructions I
may leave them in
Writing signed by me to
Hannah Tickner Elizabeth

and Lydia Peto to be
divided between them as
equal as can be The Rest
and Residue of my Estate
and Effects not by me
before given I direct my
Executors to dispose of
the same and the Money
arising therefrom to be
by them Placed out in
one of the Public ffunds
and the Interest arising
therefrom I direct them
to pay unto my Brother
and Sister John and
Hannah Tickner during
their joint Lives or the
Life of the longer liver
of them from and after
their decease I give one
Moiety of the Principal
to Robert Sparks and the
other Moiety to
Elizabeth Tickner of
Guildford in Surry And I
do hereby appoint Robert
Roake of the Borough of
Southwark and Richard
Smith of Wapping Street
in Middlesex Executors
of this my Will hereby
declaring this to be my
last Will and Testament
(contained in two sheets
of Paper) and I do
hereby revoke and make
void all former Wills by
me heretofore made And I
do hereby Will and
direct that my Executors
and the survivor of them
and the Executors and
Administrators of such
survivor shall be
reimbursed out of my
said Estate and Effects
and the produce thereof
all such Costs and
Charges Expences and
Damages Claims Demands
as they or either of
them shall pay sustain
or be put unto by reason
or means of this my Will
or in the Execution or
Performance thereof or
the \trust hereby
reposed in them or any
matter or thing relating
thereto and I do also
Will and Declare that
the one of them will not
be answerable for the
Acts and Deeds of the
other of them but each
one for his own acts and
deeds only nor for any
losses that shall or may
happen to my Estate in
the Performance of this
my Will in manner before
directed In Witness
