The Will of Robert Day

 

In the name of god Amen. I, Robart Day of Great Crakehall within the County of Yorke, laborer, sicke in body but of perfect remembrance thankes be to god, first I give and bequeath my sole into the handes of almighty god my onely maker and redeemer and my body to be buried in the church yard of Bedall. 
Secondly I give to my daughter Elizabeth twenty shillinges. Item I give to my two younger daughters six poundes to be devided between them. Item I give to my wife all that I have owen to pay my debts withall and to bring me forth and the rest to hir self. In witness whereof I the said Robart Day have hereunto sette my hand and marke the day and yeare first above written [ no date is given, but the will was registered 1 December, 1635 ].
