The Will of Thomas Davison

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Davison of Errington in the county of Northumberland Black Smith I give and devise unto my Grandson John Davison all my Blacksmith Tools and the Iron that may be in the Shop at the time of my decease _ I give and devise unto my two Sons Thomas Davison of Turnpit house in the county of Northumberland and Joseph Wilkinson of Cocklaw Farm in the county of Northumberland Farmer All my real and personal Estates whatsoever and wheresoever In Trust to get in and convert the same into money and thereout to pay all my just debts and my funeral and testamentary expences and then In Trust to be divided equally between my Son Thomas Davison and my daughter Ann Wilkinson the wife of the said Joseph Wilkinson but the said Ann Wilkinson is only to have the Interest rents and profits of her share for her life but her share is to be In Trust for all and every of her children equally to be divided between and amongst them but in case they my said daughter and her husband shall have only one child In Trust for such only child but the interest profit and proceeds to be for the benefit of the children and to be applied for their education maintenance and benefit till they attain the age of 21 years _ I give and devise out of my Personal Estate the Sum of £10 to my daughter Jane Carr the wife of Francis Carr _ but she or her husband must pay within 12 months of my decease the money she and her husband may owe me_ The Legacy of £10 to be paid one year after my decease _ I appoint my Son Thomas Davison and my Son in Law Joseph Wilkinson Trustees and Executors of this my Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty second day of June one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven

Proved 26 March 1838 to Thomas Davison of Turnpit House in the Parish of Chollerton in the County of Northumberland Innkeeper and Joseph Wilkinson of Cocklaw in the Parish of St John Lee and County aforesaid Farmer
