In the Name of God Amen I David Davies of Maesgwrda in the Parish of Laugharne in the County of Carmarthen Clerk being sick and weak in body but of sound disposing mind memory & understanding do make and ordain this my last Will & Testament in manner and form following ffirst I give and bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Ann Jones of Pentrehowell the Sum of twenty Pounds Also I give and bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Margaret Lewis the Sum of five Pounds to be paid to them by my Executor at the end of one year after my decease I give and bequeath unto my Grand Son Thomas Davies the Sum of five Pounds to be paid him when he shall attain the Age of thirty Years I give to Mary Evans late of ...... the Sum of two Pounds and the Sum of three Pounds to Esther Rees Also I give and devise unto my Grand Son David Davies All that Cottage Piece or Parcel of Lands with all its Appurts called and known by the name of Won.... situated in the Parish of Llanfihangel Aberconwin in the County of Carmarthen aforesaid and also all that Tenement and Land and all their Appurts called Waynbinks in the Parish of Mydinn in the said County of Carmarthen and his Heirs forever but I do hereby authorize John Williams Vicar of Laugharne and David Prothero Vicar of Eglwswin to manage rent out and receive the Rents of the said Way upon .... and pay the same towards his Education and Maintenance until he shall .... the full Age of 25 Years Also I give unto him the said David Davies an Annuity of ten Pounds until he shall attain the Age of twenty one Years I also give him all my Books Bookcase Bur... Gun and Watch and my Saddle and Bridle I give to my said Grandson Thomas Davies I also give to my Nephew Evan Jones the Sum of three Pounds All the rest residue and remainder of my Personal Estate of what kind nature or quality soever the same may be at the time of my decease after the payment of my Debts Legacies and ffuneral Expences I give and bequeath unto my Nephew David Prothero Vicar of Eglwswin aforesaid And I hereby nominate constitute and appoint him the said David Prothero sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 4th day of September in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred & fifteen _ David Davies
