This is the last Will and Testament of me John Davidson of Banks in the parish of Lanercost in the County of Cumberland Yeoman I bequeath to my wife Elizabeth all my Household furniture and other Household effects that may be in or about my Dwelling house at the time of my decease I devise and bequeath All my Real Estate and the residue of my personal Estate unto and to the use of Thomas Oliver of Walton Woodhead Farmer and Thomas Watson of the Heugh Farmer their heirs administrators and assigns respectively according to the nature and tenure thereof Upon Trust that the said Thomas Oliver and Thomas Watson or the survivor of them or the executors or administrators of such survivor (all which several persons and other the Trustees or Trustee for the time being of this my Will are hereinafter referred to as “ the said Trustees or Trustee”) shall permit my said Wife to receive the rents profits & annual Income thereof for and during the term of her natural life And from and after her death shall hold the said Trust property In Trust for my two Daughters Mary Ann and Elizabeth Jane their heirs and assigns in equal shares as Tenants in Common And I hereby declare and it is my Will and mind that if either of my said two Daughters shall happen to die during the lifetime of my said Wife or before she shall become entitled to her share of the Trust property without leaving Issue her surviving then my said Trustees shall hold the share of the Daughter so dying as aforesaid In Trust for the Survivor her heirs and assigns for ever And I hereby declare that if either of my said Daughters shall happen to die leaving Issue which shall not be lawfully born or born during Wedlock such Issue for the purposes of this my Will shall be deemed lawful Issue And lastly

I appoint the said Thomas Oliver and Thomas Watson and also my said Wife Executors of this my Will And I Appoint my said Wife during her life and the said Thomas Oliver and Thomas Watson Guardians of my said Daughters during Infancy And revoking all former Wills I hereby declare this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said John Davidson have to this my Will set my hand this twenty fifth day of February one thousand eight hundred and eighty six  _  John Davidson
