The Will of Daniel Daulby


In the Name of God Amen I Daniel Daulby of the Carr House in the Township of Saughall Massie in the County of Chester Farmer being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) first of all I Will and direct that all my just Debts Funeral Expences and the charges attending the Probate of this my last Will and Testament be paid and discharged and I Give devise and Bequeath unto my Son Thomas Daulby all my Household Goods and Furniture of all kinds and all other my Goods Chattels Stock in Farming business and Implements in Husbandry together with all my Personal and Real Estate and Estates and also my Freehold Estate Farms lands and Premises with the appurtenances thereunto belonging whatsoever and wheresoever the same may be situate lying and being unto my said Son Thomas Daulby and to the Heirs of his Body lawfully begotten to be divided amongst them share and share alike after the death of my said Son Thomas Daulby but provided my said Son Thomas Daulby should happen to die and leave no lawful Issue then and in such case I Give all my Real estate aforesaid unto the surviving Child or Children of my late Son Daniel Daulby share and share alike But it is my express Will and desire that if my Son Thomas Daulby should happen to Die and leave a Widow then in such case I Will and direct that the Widow of my Son so dying as aforesaid shall Receive one clear annuity or Yearly sum of Ten pounds a year which I hereby charge upon that part of my Real estate called the Lang to be paid out of the Yearly rents and Profits thereof during the natural life of such Widow as aforesaid, To each and every of my Daughters I have upon their respective Marriages advanced and paid every of them by Gift of Marriage Portion an equal and proportionate share of my real and personal Estate, and lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Son Thomas Daulby and William Nicholls of Lower Bebington Executors of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Daniel Daulby hereof have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Sixth day of April one thousand eight hundred and twenty
