In the name of god amen I Thomas
Darbishire of Haydock in the County of Lancaster, Naylor being
sick of Body but of sound & perfect Mind & Memory praise be
therefore given to Almighty god my Creator & Redeemer; do make &
ordaine this my present last will & testament in man’er & forme
following (that is to say) first & principally I commend my soul
into the hands of Allmighty god hoping through the merits Death
& passhon of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full & free pardon
& forgiveness of all my sins and to Inherrit everlasting life &
my body I commit to the Earth from whence it was taken to be
decently buried at the discression of my Executors hereafter
Named & as touching the disposition of all such temporall Estate
as it haath pleased Allmighty god for to bestowe upon me I give
& dispose there of as followeth first I will my depts and
funerall Charges shall be paid & discharged. Imprimis I give to
my son John Darbishire the sum of tenn pounds Itte’ I give to
my Daughter Caterine the sum of Tenn pounds Itt’ I give to my
loving wife Ann Darbishire the sum of two pounds.
Itt’ my will and mind is that my son John
shall have five pound out of all my good for to put him to atrad
Then my will & mind is that after my depts and Rents are paid
and my funerall expences what theire is left of my goods and the
rest to be devided betwixt John my son Catrine my Daughter &
Anne my wife & equally amongst them & I Make and Constitute
Peter Knowls and Anne my wife to be my full & sole executors of
this my last will & testament and I doe hereby revoke disannull
& make void all former wills and testaments by me Heretofore
made in witness whereof I the s’d Thomas Darbishire to this my
last will & Testamente being contained in one Sheet of Stampt
paper set my hand & seale to the bottom the fifteenth day of
