This is the last Will and Testament of me
Ralph Culshaw of Burscough in the County of Lancaster Yeoman which I
make whilst of sound disposing mind, memory and understanding in
manner following, that is to say, I order and direct that all my
just Debts funeral Expences and the charges of the probate of this
my Will to be first paidI give and bequeath unto my Nephew William
Forshaw the Sum of One Hundred pounds to be paid out of my real and
personal Estates at the Expiration of twelve Months next following
my DeceaseI give and devise unto my Nephew John Forshaw all those
Leasehold Messuages and Tenements situated lying and being in
Burscough aforesaid called Rutters and Illams now in the occupations
of myself and of my said Nephew John Forshaw to hold to him his
Heirs and Assigns during all my Estate and Interest Subject and
charged nevertheless with payments of two clear Annuities or yearly
Sums of five pounds unto each of my Sisters Alice Forshaw Wife of
Henry Forshaw and my Niece Ann Forshaw Wife of my said Nephew John
Forshaw during their respective natural Lives if my Estate and
Interest therein shall so long continue the first payment thereof to
commence and be made at the Expiration of twelve Months next after
my decease
And I do hereby declare that the said Annuities or either of them
shall not be subject or liable to the Debts control and Engagements
of their present or future Husbands which they or either of them may
happen to marry and their respective receipts notwithstanding any
Coverture they or either ot them may be under shall be sufficient
discharges for the same And in case the said Annuities or either of
them shall be in Arrear and unpaid for the space of Ten Days next
after due it shall be lawful for the said Annuitantor either of them
whose annuity shall bein so Arrear and upaid as aforesaid at all
times hereafter to enter inton and upon the said Messuages Tenements
Lands and Hereditaments and distrain for the same or so much thereof
as shall be due and owing as aforesaid and the distress and
distresses then and there found to keep sell and dispose of
according to Law to the end and interest that the said Annuities may
be fully satisfied and paid and all Arrears thereof and all Costs
Charges and Expenses relating to or attending the recovery or
obtaining payment of the same
And I give and devise all the Messuages Lands Tenements and
Hereditaments whatsoever whereof or wherein I am entitled to in any
trust or mortgage unto my said Nephew John Forshaw his Heirs and
Assigns To the End and Intent that he or they may stand possessed of
thereof according to the trust and may secondly The same or any part
thereof upon payment of the principal Sums and Interest charged
thereon or thereby secured or otherwise howsoever
And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my real and Personal
Estates of whatever kind or quality so ever the same may consist of
situate lying and being in Burscough aforesaid or elsewhere I give
devise and bequeath the same unto my said Nephew John Forshaw his
Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns
And Lastly hereby revoking all former and other Wills and Will by me
at anytime hereunto made do declare this to be my only true last
Will and Testament and constitute and appoint my said Nephews
William Forshaw and John Forshaw Executors hereof.
In Witness whereof I the said Ralph Culshaw have hereunto subscribed
and afixed my Name and Seal the twenty fourth Day of June in the
year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirteen

of us who have subscribed our Names as
Witnesses thereof in the presence of the said
Testator and of each other - the words
"during all my Estate and Interest thereon"
"stand possessed thereof according to the trust
and may" having been first interlined
and the words 'trust' or mortgage having
been first wrote upon an Erasure

On the fifteenth day of February 1821 John
Forshaw executor in this will named (power having been reserved to
William Forshaw an executor also named) was sworn in common form &
he further made oath that the personal effects of the testator
within this diocese & county do not exceed the sum of fifty pounds
before me
