This is the last Will and Testament of me Edward Cubley of the Parish of All Saints in the Borough of Derby Upholder ffirst I direct the Payment of all my just and lawful debts funeral and testamentary expences by my Executrix hereinafter named and subject thereto I give and bequeath to my dear Wife Elizabeth absolutely All my household ffurniture plate linen money and all other my personal estate whatsoever having a perfect confidence in her using and disposing of the same for the benefit and advantage of our five Children Elizabeth Martha Mary Susan and Jane I also give and bequeath to my said Wife the Sums of Money left by the Reverend Thomas Cornthwaite to me as Trustee for my Children and to be held and applied by her upon the trusts and for the Purposes declared & expressed in his Will and lastly I nominate and appoint my said dear Wife sole Executrix of this my Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name the twenty second day of January in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty Edward Cubley
