The Will of Susannah Crouch

 

In the Name of God Amen I Susannah Crouch of Dunstable in the County of Bedford widow being of Sound mind memory and understanding praised be Almighty God for the Same but hereby considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time and manner thereof and being desireous to leave the Legacy of Peace and Quietness amongst my Children Grandchildren Relations and Friends Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner following Imprimis I commend my Soul and Spirit into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it me trusting through his mercies and the meritorious death and passion of my Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to live and Injoy a Joyfull Resurrection at the Great and last Day my Body I commend to the Earth to be Decently Interred at the Discression of my Execitor hereafter named and as for that worldly Estate which it hath pleased Almighty God of his Infinite goodnesses and mercy to bestow upon me I Give and Bequeath the same as followeth Item I Give to my Daughter Ann Toms one Hundred Pound of good and Lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid to her the said Ann Toms in Twelve months after my Decease by my Executor Thomas Crouch of Luton and if the said Ann Toms Should Die before that time

I Do Give the Said Hundred Pound to my Grandson John Toms to be Paid to Him Imediately after my Decease Item I Give to my Grandson Jacob Purton Ten Pounds of good and Lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid to him the said Jacob Purton in Twelve months after my Decease by my Executor Thomas Crouch

Item I Give to John Crouch my Grandson five Pound of good and Lawfull money of Great Brittain Item I Give to my Grand Daughter Susannah Crouch five Pound of good and Lawfull money of Great Brittain Item I give to Sarah Purton my Grand Daughter five Pound of good and Lawfull money of Great Brittain Item I give to my Son William Crouch five Pound of good and Lawfull money of Great Brittain all to be Paid by my Executor Thomas Crouch of Luton Item I Give to my Daughter Ann Toms all my wareing Apparrill and all my Gold Rings and I Do Nominate and Apoint my Beloved Son Thomas Crouch of Lutton Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I Do Hereby Charge him with the Payment of the Legacies above mentioned and my Funeral Charges In witness whereof

I have hereunto Set my Hand and Seal this Fifteenth Day of April In the year of our Lord 1745
