In the Name of God Amen I John Cox of Beaminster in the County of Dorset Yeoman being of Sound and Disposing Mind Memory and Understanding do this Twenty Sixth Day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Six make and Publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) I Give and Devise my Tenement and Lands lying in the Parish of Netherbury in the said County of Dorset which I Purchased of Richard Brodrepp .......with all and Singular the Appurts thereunto belonging unto my Son John Cox of Netherbury aforesaid his Heirs and Assigns for ever Also I Give and bequeath to George Udall of Stoke Abbots in the said County of Dorset the Sum of ffive Pounds Also I Give and bequeath to Thomas Cox of Netherbury aforesaid Blacksmith William Cox of the same place Yeoman and William Cox of the same place Husbandman my Brothers Sons the Sum of ffive Pounds a peice to be paid to them respectively in three Months after my Decease Also I Give and bequeath to John Way Son of my Sister Elizabeth Way and to John Ward of Youdever ffive Pounds a peice to be paid to them respectively within three Months after my Death by my Executor hereinafter named Also I Give and bequeath unto my Granddaughter Hannah Cox Daughter of my Son John Cox the Sum of ffive hundred Pounds to be paid to her out of my Personal and residuary Estate and Effects within three Months after the Death of my Son John Cox and with the Payment thereof I do hereby Charge my Personal and residuary Estate and Effects hereinafter bequeathed And all the rest and residue of my Goods Chattels Moneys Securitys for Money and Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever after Payment of my Debts Legacies and ffuneral Expences I Give and bequeath to my said Son John Cox whom I make Constitute and Appoint whole and Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills and Bequests by me heretofore made Declaring this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Day and Year first above written the mark of John Cox
