The Will of Thurstan Cook

 

This is the Last Will and Testament of me Thurstan Cook of the Town of Shrewsbury in the County of Salop Gentleman which I make this twenty seventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty I acknowledge that the Household Goods ffurniture and Effects in and about the House in my occupation are not my own but the Property of my Brother William Cook of Liverpool in the County of Lancaster Gentleman but feeling desirous of disposing of any Estate whether Real or Personal in which I have a beneficial for the benefit of my dear Wife Jane Cecilia Cook I give devise and bequeath all my Real and Personal Estate Property and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever of which I shall be seized or possessed or of which I or any person or persons In trust for me have or has any Estate or Interest whatsoever unto William Cooper of Shrewsbury aforesaid Attorney at Law his heirs executors administrators and assigns in Trust for my dear Wife Jane Cecilia Cook her heirs executors administrators and assigns for her and their own absolute use and benefit for ever I give devise and bequeath all the Estates vested in me or any trusts or by way of Mortgage and which I have power to dispose of by this my Will with their Appurtenances unto the said William Cooper his heirs executors administrators and assigns according to the nature or quality thereof respectively Upon trust to hold or dispose of the said trust Estates in the manner in which they ought to be held or disposed of pursuant to the said Trusts and on payment of the money secured on Mortgage to convey or assign the Estates and Mortgage to the Person or Persons Intitled thereto for the time being in the same manner and with the same powers as I myself could do if I were living and acting therein And I appoint the said William Cooper sole Executor of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand the day and year first above written Thurstan Cook
