The Will of Richard Comins

In
the Name of God Amen I
Richard Comins of
ffyfield in the County
of Berks being of sound
and disposing mind
memory and understanding
but mindful of my
mortality do this 10th
day of April in the Year
of our Lord 1830 make
and publish this my last
Will and testament in
manner and form
following ffirst I
desire to be decently
buried in ffifield
Church or Church Yard
without any funeral pomp
and with as little
expence as possible
secondly I appoint Mr
Joseph Rogers of
Abingdon Painter and Mr
T Stone Junr late of
ffyfield but now of
London Surgeon to act as
Executors to this my
last Will and testament
thirdly I give and
bequeath to my wife
Sarah Comins all my
Household ffurniture and
other Effects Viz Horses
Carriage & likewise the
Lease of my House and
Land held under Mr T
Stone as Per Agreement
and after all my just
debts are paid all the
Cash that is then left
shall be given to the
said Sarah Comins Viz to
be left out on Mortgage
or to be called in and
paid into her hands as
she may think proper
excepting the sum of
ffive hundred pounds
which I wish to be left
out at use for my second
son John ffrederick
Comins then interest of
which shall be annually
received by the said
Sarah Comins until she
shall marry or cease to
maintain and educate the
said John ffrederick
Comins at that time I
intend for the Interest
of the said ffive
hundred pounds to be
taken by my Executors
and applied for the
purpose before stated
but in case the said
J.ff.C should die before
he arrive at the age of
21 years or that by the
death of my eldest Son
Henry Comins he should
come into possession of
the property which had
been held by him and at
that time my wife should
be a Widow that the said
Principal be called in
and equally divided
between her and ffrances
Rogers the Wife of
Joseph Rogers of
Abingdon in the Berks or
if the said ffrances
Rogers is not then
living her share to be
equally divided amongst
her children should the
said Sarah Comins be
married or cease to live
then the whole of the
five hundred pounds to
go to Mrs ffrances
Rogers or her children
