In the name of God Amen, I Thomas COLLIER
thelder of HEATON NORRIS in the countie of Lancaster yeoman
being weak in body but of sound perfect mynd and memorie praise
be given to Almightie God for the same doo make this my last
will and testament in manner and form ffollowing.
First I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my
creator, hoping through the merits death and passion of Jesus
Christ to have remission from my sinns and my bodie I commend to
the earth of which it was first fashoned to be buried in decent
buriall at the discretion of my executor herein nominated.
And for such estate personall as it hath pleased God to bestow
upon mee I bequeath the same as ffolloweth .
Itm whereas I have heretofore divided my estate personall into
three equall parts : viz : one part thereof to ELLEN COLLIER my
wife at her dispose and another part thereof to THOMAS COLLIER
my eldest sonne. And the third part thereof I have ........
Item my will and mind is that for the of this said third part my
funerall expences and debts be paid if any shall arise at my
decease.
Item whereas I have heretofore ......... from my sonne HENRY
COLLIER's portion fortie pounds and the said third part of my
estate .... for myself I hereby bequeath unto my said sonne
Thomas after my decease to repay and make upp my said sonne
Henry's portion.
Item My will and mind is that the sume of sixtie pounds which
JOHN COLLIER my sonne hath in custodie, being the other part of
my said sonne Henry's portion, hee the said John Collier shall
keep in his custodie ffortie pounds thereof during the lifetime
naturall of the said Henry ...... and only paying the interest
due for the said sume and further my will is that the said John
Collier my sonneshall within twelve months of my decease pay the
sume of twentie pounds from the said sume of sixtie pounds unto
my executor herein named and the remainder thereof to hold for
the use of his children.
Item. My mynd is that my said sonne Thomas shall discharge and
pay the rent of the messuage house or chamber in Stockport in
the countie of Chester wherein MARY COLLIER my sister liveth to
pay the same yearly during the life naturall of the said Mary
and the reversion of the lease of the said messuage house to
take .... for his own use after my decease. And of this my last
will and testament I doo make ordayne my said son Thomas Collier
my sole .... executor hoping hee will truly execute the same
(blot) as my hope in him .......
And I do hereby utterly (blot) dis... and make void all former
wills testaments legacies and bequests by mee heretofore made
willed and .... whatsoever. In witness whereof I the said Thomas
Collier thelder hereunto set my hand and seale the twentieth day
of Aprill Anno Domini 1674 and in the six and twentieth year of
the raigne of our Lord Charles the Second by the grace of God of
England etc

third part of my estate to ffall short in discharging the
aforesaid sume of fortie pounds to be due to my said sonne Henry
Collier and likewise my funerall expenses that then Ellen
Collier my said wife shall joyne equally with my said sonne
Thomas Collier in the discharging of my said funerall expenses.
The words ffortie pounds thereof were interlined on the other
