THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me
ANN COATES of Myrtle Villa Alum Chine Road Westbourne
Bournemouth in the county of Southampton widow I bequeath the
following specific legacies To my brother Robert Toop my pair of
china candelabra Reaper and Cleaner To my nephew Charles Toop
the portraits of myself and my late husband To my medical
attendant Dr Hardy my oil painting Scotch Mountain Scenery To my
great niece Anna Maria Elizabeth Toop my family Bible To my
great niece Emily Annie Dawes my pianoforte To my great niece
Alice Louisa Toop my musical box To my cousin Robert Scutt my
oil painting Branksome Chine and I give to my trusty and
faithful servant Sarah Brown if she shall be living with me at
the time of my decrease the sum of one hundred pounds together
with a feather bed bedstead mattress bolster pillows bed sheets
pair of blankets and counterpane free of legacy duty as a slight
acknowledgement of her kindness and attention to me and I give
and devise all the residue of my household goods furniture and
affects cash in house and current account at death at Bank and
the lease of Myrtle Villa aforesaid unto the said Robert Toop
and Robert Scutt upon trust to sell the same and after payment
thereout of my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses and
the aforesaid legacy of one hundred pounds and duty if payable
and to divide the residue to arise from such sale unto and
equally between the said Emily Annie Dawes and Sarah Brown if
the latter shall be living with me at my decease bit if she
shall not be living with me at the time of my decease then to
pay the whole of the aforesaid residue unto the said Emily Annie
Dawes and I devise and bequeath all the residue of my real and
personal estate unto the said Robert Toop and Robert Scutt upon
trust to sell and convert the same into money and to divide the
proceeds to arise therefrom unto and equally between all my
nephews and nieces that shall be living at my decease and attain
the age of twenty one years and the said Emily Annie Dawes and I
appoint the said Robert Toop and Robert Scutt EXECUTORS and
Trustees of this my will IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunder set
my hand this twenty third day of January one thousand eight
hundred and ninety three - ANN COATES - Signed and declared
by the said testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in
the presence of us present at the same time who at her request
in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto
subscribed our names as Witnesses - WALTER EVANSON Cremona

ON the 14th day of December
1893 Probate of this will was granted to Robert Toop and Robert
Scutt the Executors
BE IT KNOWN, that at the date hereunder
written, the last Will and Testament of Ann Coates late of
Myrtle Villa, Alum Chine Road Westbourne, Bournemouth in the
County of Southampton Widow decreased, who died on the 5th
day of September 1893 at Myrtle Villa aforesaid was proved and
registered in the Principal Probate Registry of Her Magesty’s
High Court of Justice, and that administration of the personal
estate of the said decreased was granted by the aforesaid Court
to Robert Toop of 12 Westover Villas Bournemouth aforesaid
Gentleman the Brother of the said deceased and Robert Scutt of 7
Palmerson Crescent Boscombe near Bournemouth aforesaid
Solicitors Clerk the Executors named in the said with they
having been first sworn well and faithfully to administer the
same.
