This is the Last Will and Testament of me Mary
Coates now a servant to Somerset Davies Esq of Croft in the County
of Hereford Spinster After my debts and funeral expences with the
Expence of proving this my last Will are paid I give and bequeath
all my ready money and securities for money to the Children of my
brother James Coates of Ludlow in the County of Salop Turner and to
the children of my Ann Davies Catherine late Wife of Thomas Penny
and Martha Yapp to be divided between them and each share paid to
each of them as they arrive at the age of twenty one years and
interest or profits arising therefrom to be paid and applied to and
for their and each of their use and uses during their minority and
as for my Wearing Apparel I give and bequeath it to my Sisters and
such of my Nieces as are living at the time of my decease I also
give and bequeath to Mary the Daughter of my brother James Coates
six silver tea spoons and silver Tea tongs marked M C My Will also
is and I do hereby desire that if any of my said Nephews or Nieces
should die before they attain the age of twenty one years that his
her or their share shall be equally divided between the Survivors
And Lastly I nominate and appoint my said brother James Coates
Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I
have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighth day of April one
thousand Eight hundred and six M Coates

Be it known to all men by this I Mary Coates
Castle Servant in the County of Hereford have made and delivered in
my last Will and Testament bearing date eighth day of April one
thousand Eight hundred and six As I left my two Nephews Richard and
Thomas Penny and equal share of my property with all my nephews and
nieces I only leave them ten pounds each of them and the other to be
divided between the others equal and this Codicil in the presence of
the other witnesses Signed first by myself the seventeenth day of
November One thousand eight hundred and twenty eight M Coates
