This is the Last Will and Testament of me JOHN
CLARKSON of Richmond in the County of York butcher made this 4
August 1786 in manner following that is to say I give and devise
unto my dear mother MARY CLARKSON all that my close or parcel of
ground with the stable and other appurtenances situate in Richmond
adjoining upon the road leading to the Clink Pool To Hold the same
to her and her assigns ... for and during the terms of her natural
life and from and after her decease then I do hereby give and devise
the same unto and to the use of my brother CHRISTOPHER CLARKSON ...
for ever . I also give and devise unto my brother CHRISTOPHER
CLARKSON all that messuage situate at the bottom of Frenchgate in
Richmond and all my reversionary or other estate therein To Hold the
same .... I appoint my brother the Reverend ANTHONY CLARKSON sole
executor of this my will and hereby give and bequeath unto him ...
all my goods and chattels and personal estate and effects whatsoever
Upon the Trusts ... pay all my debts , funeral expences and charges
of proving my will ... and place out at interest in his own name ...
sufficient security .... to pay the interest unto my dear Mother
MARY CLARKSON during the terms of her natural life and from her
decease I give and bequeath all my Personal estate unto my said
Brother ANTHONY CLARKSON .... I revolke all former wills by me
heretofore made and declare this only to be my last will and
testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set me hand and seal
the day and year above written.
