In the Name of God Amen I ANTHONY CLARKSON of
Richmond in the County of York butcher being of sound disposing mind
and memory praised be Almighty God for the same do make this for and
as my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is
to say I give and devise all that my messuage burgage or dwelling
house with appurtenances situate and standing and being in Richmond
wherein I now live to my eldest son CHRISTOPHER CLARKSON and his
assigns for and during the term of his natural life impeachable ...
and from and after the decease of my said son CHRISTOPHER I give and
devise the above burgage and premises with appurtenances and all
other my messuages and lands tenements and hereditaments ... situate
standing and being in Richmond or elsewhere ... to my son ANTHONY
CLARKSON to hold the same unto his heirs and assigns. I give and
bequeath unto my loveing wife JANE CLARKSON the sum of 5 shilings,
to my daughter JANE CLARKSON the like sum of 5 shillings, to my
daughter MARGARET CLARKSON the like sum of 5 shillings, to my
daughter MARY CLARKSON the like sum of 5 shillings which several
legacies of 5 shillings I order my executor hereinafter named to pay
to the several legatees respectively within 6 months next after my
decease. I give and bequeath all and every my personal estate of
what nature and kind soever .... unto my son ANTHONY CLARKSON and I
do hereby constitute and appoint him the said ANTHONY CLARKSON sole
executor of this my Last Will and Testament revoking all former
wills by me at any time heretofore made In Witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal 3 November 1747
