The Will of William Clark

 

There is true intent and naming of this my last will and testament

In The Name of God Amen First I humbly defire free pardon for all my sinns and doe bequeath and deliver my soule to God Almighty by ye merritts of the Blefsed Saviour Jefus Christ in hopes to receive ffree pardon for all my finns as for my body to be buried in a Chriftian buriall at ye defcresion of my Truftees under mentioned.

Impris I do freely give to my WIFE ELIZABETH CLARK ye bed and furniture that we now lyy in and one cheft of drawers belonging to ye same room as ye said bed and ffurniture is in and ffurther I freely give to my wife Elizabeth my former wifes best gound and petticoate which is half silk and my fformer wifes black hood and likewise I give to my wife Elizabeth ye beft box of linnin as is now in being and three cane chairs.

Secondly I do freely give and bequeath to my SON WILLIAM & THOMAS (John crossed off and Thomas written above) Clark all ye reft of my goods and chatles when apraifed, that ye above mentioned goods (furniture crossed off and goods written above) that I give to my wife doe amount to such a value that it might be equbly divided between my wife and boath sons such a like share of my goods and chatles aforesaid.

Thirdly I do leave my son William and Thomas Clark to be my whole and sole Executors paying all and singular my debts to whomsoever it becomes due and that they doe by order of my Truftees pay for my Chriftiall buriall.

Fourthly My Truftees are John Killinbe and Thomas Askew both of ye parrifh of pinchbeck and now being in certain memory blefsed be to God for it have left my hand ye eleaventh day of February AnnoYr Domini (In the Year of our Lord) 1706/7 William (his X Mark) Clark
