This is the Last Will and Testament of me
PETER CLARK late of the Island of Jamaica but now of Peters Court,
St Martins Lane in the County of Middlesex Esq in manner and form
following that is to say , being weak in health but sound of mind
and memory and understanding I do hereby constitute and appoint
WILLIAM ?CADBY? of Frith Street in the Parish of St Ann Soho in the
said County of Middlesex Esq, ANDREW YUILL of New North Street, Red
Lyon Square in the said County Esq and THOMAS WAGSTAFF of [blank
space] Street, Bishopsgate Street, London Esq Executors of this my
will. I desire to be buried in the parish of St Martins in the
Fields and whereas I am seized and possessed of £2,000 3 per cent
consolidated annuities standing in my name in the Bank of England
which I give and bequeath unto and between all my nephews and neices,
being sons and daughters of my brothers GEORGE CLARK, WILLIAM CLARK,
THOMAS CLARK and RALPH CLARK all late of Durham, share and share
alike and I do hereby desire that my Executors will within twelve
months after my decease transfer the said stock or funds unto my
said nephews and neices ....
I give and bequeath unto BETTY COOPER of
Peters Court £100
I give and bequeath unto JOHN FOWLER of Gower
Street, Bedford Square , County Middlesex, £20 for mourning
I give and bequeath unto DANIEL SHEA of Ely
Place, Holborn, London Esq £10 for mourning
I desire that my executors will use their best
endeavour to collect and receive all Book Debts and other
outstanding debts due to me both in England and Jamaica and that
they in the first place retain to themselves all costs and Expences
they may sustain or be put to.
I also give unto each of my Executors £20. And
as to the rest and residue or remainder of my Personal Estate and
Effects I give and bequeath the same unto my neice or neices being
daughter or daughters of my Brother GEORGE CLARK. I hereby revoke
all former wills by me made ... In witness whereof I have hereunto
