The Will of John Chitty

 

This is the last will and testament of me JOHN CHITTY of Richmond Park in the County of Surrey one of His Majesty’s Gamekeepers. Subject to the payment of my just debts and Funeral Expences and the charges of proving this my will I give and bequeath all and singular my goods and chattels money personal estate and Effects of what Nature or Kind soever and wheresoever the same may be which at the time of my decease I may be possessed of or in anyways entitled unto my dear wife MARY CHITTY to and for her own sole peculiar and separate use and benefit And not to be in any ways subject or liable to the control debts or engagements of any future Husband she may happen to marry And her Receipt alone notwithstanding any future Coverture shall be a sufficient discharge for the same or any part thereof to my Executors hereinafter named And I hereby nominate constitute and appoint WILLIAM ROBERTSON of Richmond in the County of Surry carpenter sole executor of this my will and revoking all former and other wills and codicils by me at any time heretofore made I publish and declare this only as my last will and testament In Witness whereof I the testator JOHN CHITTY have hereunto set my hand and seal this 5 June 1799.
