The Will of
David Cheeslet (Otherwise
Chislett)
In the Name of God Amen bearing date this seventeenth day of July 1781
whereas I David Cheeslet of the Parish of Witham Friary in the County of
Somerset (widow) being of perfect mind and sound memory doth make and
ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner following Item I give
unto my grandson George Austin the sum of ffifty pounds of lawfull money
to be paid him when he comes of age of one and twenty years Item I give
unto my grandson Harry Austin the sum of fifty pounds of lawfull money
to be paid him when he comes of age of one and twenty years Item I give
unto my grandson David Austin the sum of fifty pounds of lawfull money
and my clock when he comes of age of one and twenty years Item I give
unto my grandson Phillip Austin the sum of ffifty pounds of lawfull
money to be paid him when he comes of age of one and twenty years Item I
give unto my granddaughter Betty Austin the sum of ffifty pounds of
lawfull money to be paid her when she comes of age of one and twenty
years Item I give unto my grandson Robert Hues the sum of ffifty pounds
of lawfull money to be paid him when he comes of age of one and twenty
years Item I give unto my grandson John Hues the sum of ffifty pounds of
lawfull money to be paid him when he comes of age of one and twenty
years and if either of my grandchildren die before they arrive to the
age of one and twenty years their money is to be equally divided between
the surviving grandchildren Item I give unto my two daughters Betty
Austin and Mary Hues all and singular my Estate and Effects both real
and personal and all that I am possessed of (the aforementioned legacies
duly excepted) whom I constitute and appoint joint Executrixes of this
my last Will and Testament ratifying and confirming this and no other to
be my last Will and Testament in the presence of us the subscribers

Signed sealed and delivered the day and year within mentioned in the
presence of us the subscribers Joseph Wyatt Sara Compton
This Will was proved at London on the sixteenth day of May in the year
of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty three before the Right
Worshipfull Peter Calvert Doctor of laws Master Keeper or Commissary of
the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oaths of
Betty Austin wife of Robert Austin and Mary Hughes otherwise Hues wife
of William Hughes the Executrixes named in the said Will to whom
Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattells and
Credits of the said deceased they having been first sworn by comon duly
to administer
