The Will of Thomas Charlton
This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas
Charlton of the fell Side near Hexham in the Parish of Hexham in the county
of Northumberland Husbandman I give and devise all my estate and effects
whatsoever and wheresoever and of what Kind unto my Nephew Luke Earnshaw,
Woodman and Thomas Pratt Gentleman of Hexham in Trust to do and act as I
hereby direct that is to say To allow my dearly beloved Wife Barbra Charlton
all intrusts arising from my effects whatsoever and whensoever for the
mentainance of herself and my two Daughters during the tearm of her natural
life And after her decease it is my will and mind that all my estate and
effects whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath unto my two Daughters
Barbra Charlton and Elizh Charlton in manner following to be equally devided
Share and Share alike of all my estate and effects whatsoever and
wheresoever, and should one or both of my Daughterd die before they arrive
to the age of twenty one years of Age, the interest arising from my effects
to be paid to my dearly beloved Wife during the tearme of her natural life
and after her decase, All my effects to go to my next of Kin, this I declare
to be my last Will and testament in writing I have set my Hand and Seal the
Second day of April one thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Eight
