This I do declare to be the last Will and Testament of me Grace Dorothea Charlton of Hexham Spinster being of sound mind and understanding I order all my just debts to be paid and that my body may be very privately interred in whatever Parish I die by order of my Executrix hereafter mentioned I give & bequeath to my brother Richard Charlton the Sum of fforty Pounds of lawful money of Great Britain I give & bequeath to my brother Edward Charlton the Sum of twenty Pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to my nephew Edward Charlton I give and bequeath nineteen pounds nineteen shillings to my nephew Edward Dent I give and bequeath the Sum of nineteen pounds nineteen shillings I give and bequeath nineteen pounds nineteen shillings each to my Nieces Sarah Charlton Jane Truss Jane Charlton and Jane Hedley those legacies to be paid as soon as convenient to my dear Sister Jane Hedley Widow of Matthew Hedley Esquire deceased I give and bequeath to the same Jane Hedley the Executrix of this my last Will and Testament all I may die possessed of of whatever nature or kind for her life and at her death to go to my dear niece Jane Hedley daughter of the said Matthew Hedley at my Sisters death I wish the sum of fivety pounds to be paid to Sarah Charlton my niece and to my nephew William Dent Dent also the Sum of fivty Pounds both lawful money of Great Britain As I write this with my own hand I hope there can be no mistake as I do declare my Sister Jane Hedley Sole Executrix for her life and then to go to my Niece Jane Hedley as witness my hand this seventh day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eighteen hundred and thirty six Grace Dorothea Charlton
