This is the last will and Testament of me
ELIZABETH BUCKLE of Middleham in the County of York widow made this
6 day of September 1826. First I will that all my just debts and
funeral expences shall be fully paid and satisfied. Then I give and
bequeath unto my daughter BETTY SUTCLIFFE the interest of £200 now
in the hands of my brother JOHN DIXON of Brighthelmstone in the
County of Sussex gentleman for her use during the term of her
natural life and afterwards to the use of her son FRANCIS JOHN
WILLIAM SUTCLIFFE until he attains the age of 21 years when the said
sum of £200 shall be paid to him should he not attain the age of 21
years then the said sum of £200 be equally divided between my other
two daughters JENNY SEWELL and NANNY BUCKLE or the surviviors of
them. To my daughter JENNY SEWELL I give and bequeath the interest
of £200 now in the hands of my brother WILLIAM DIXON of Blackheath
in the County of Kent gentleman during the term of her natural life
and afterwards that said sum of £200 to my daughter NANNY BUCKLE for
her own use and benefit. To my daughter NANNY BUCKLE I give and
bequeath the sum of £200 now in the hands of CHRISTOPHER TOPHAM
Senior, Attorney at Law of this place. I bequeath to my daughter
JENNY SEWELL my silver cream jug for her use during her life and
afterwards to my daughter NANNY BUCKLE, my wearing apparel I
bequeath equally amongst my three daughters BETTY SUTCLIFFE, JENNY
SEWELL and NANNY BUCKLE or to such as shall be living at my decease.
The rest and residue of my property I give unto my daughter NANNY
BUCKLE for her own use and benefit I do ehreby appoint my brother
JOHN DIXON of Brighthelmstone in the County of Sussex gentleman my
executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all
former wills by me made In Witness whereof I the said ELIZABETH
BUCKLE have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal
the day and year first above written. I declare this to be my own
handwriting.
April 19 1929 The £200 from my late sister
BARBARA DIXON now in the hands of my brother WILLIAM DIXON of
Blackheath I direct to be divided between my three daughters BETTY
SUTCLIFFE, JENNY SEWELL and NANNY BUCKLE in equal parts. Witness my
hand Elizabeth Buckle.
Appeared Personally William Dixon of
Blackheath in the County of Kent, Esquire and Mary Dixon of the same
place spinster and made oath that they knew and were well acquainted
with Elizabeth Buckle late of Middleham in the County of York widow
deceased and also with the manner and character of her handwriting

Proved at London with a codicil 19 February
1831 .... by the oath of John Dixon Esquire the brother and sole
executor .....
