In the name of God Amen the Nyneteenth day
of December In the yeare of our Lord One thousand six hundred
Seaventy and One I Elizabeth Browne of Ovington in the County of
Southton Widdow being infirme in body, but of a Sound and
perfect minde & memory, thanks be therefore given to Almighty
God and considering the certenty of death and the uncertenty of
the tyme of the approach thereof Do therefore make and declare
this my last will & Testament in manner & forme following,
ffirst I comend my Soule into the hands of Almighty God, and my
body I comitt to the earth from whence it came in hopes of a
joyfull resurrection And as to my worldly Estate I dispose
thereof as followeth, ffirst I give and bequeath unto the poore
of the Parish of Ovington Ten Shillings Item I give unto my
Sonne John Browne my watch or Clocke & twelve pence in money
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Coxed, all
my wearing apparel and all my Lynnen Except Three paire of the
worst sheetes, and two of the worst Table clothes, Also I give
unto my said daughter Elizabeth Coxed ffive pewter platters,
whereof one to be of the biggest and ffive pewter porringers,
and one Sallett dish, and one butter plate; and the blacke salt
Seller, and my Still & warming pan and the close Stoole & pan,
and my best ffeather bedd within the Parlor, with the Coverledd
blanketts Curtaines & vallance, and all belonging to itt, except
the bedsteed, also I give unto her my best bedsteed in the
Chamber over the Parlor, and the second best brasse pott, and
the possett, and the biggest brasse pan, and the biggest kettle,
save one, and the two best trunkes, and the little table in the
Chamber and two Joyned Stoole, and the little kiver & two treyes,
And my will & meaning is that my said daughter Elizabeth Coxed
shall have the Use of the said severall things during her life,
and after to be equally devided amongst her Children Item I will
and appoint to be paid unto my Sonne Abraham Browne the some of
fifty pounds, in performance of the desire of my late loveing
husband Samuell Browne deceased, by his last will and testament,
Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne Nathaniell Browne the
Some of Twenty pounds Item I give and bequeath unto my
Grandchild John Browne sonne of my late Sonne Samuell Browne
deceased the some of ffifteen powndes the one halfe to be paid
att his putting forth apprentice, and the other halfe to be paid
unto him if he live to the age of ffower and twenty yeres Item I
give and bequeath unto my Grandchild Samuell Browne the other
sonne of my said late Sonne Samuell Browne deceased, the like
Some of ffiftene powndes the halfe of itt to be paid att his
putting forth to be an apprentice, and the other halfe to be
paid unto him if he live to if he live to the age of ffower and
twenty yeres Item I give unto my Grandchild Elizabeth Coxed the
Silver Spoone I was given by my sonne Henry by Henry Garrett
Item I give and bequeath to every one of my Grandchildren one
Stall of bees Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne William
Browne the Some of Twenty pounds Item all the rest and residue
of my Goods and Effects I give unto my Said Sonnes Abraham and
William Browne equally to be devided betwixt them And I do
hereby make and ordeyne them the Said Abraham & William Browne
Executors to this my last will and Testament hereby revoaking &
making void all former Wills by me made In witness whereof I
have hereunto putt my hand and Seale dated the day and yere
first above written
