The Will of Ann Broderick

 

This is the Last Will and Testament of me ANN wife of EDWARD BRODERICK of Summer Lodge near Reeth in the County of York gentleman. I give and bequeath to my daughters ANN and MARY my freehold and Copyhold lands and tenements situate at or near Healaugh near Reeth aforesaid called Nova Scotia in the occupation of DOROTHY PLACE the portion thereof called the West Paddock, Well Close, Barn Paddock and a dwelling house thereon and Corn Close being Freehold and the portion thereof called Barn Black Intack, Long Close, East Close and Intack end situate near Healaugh in the Manor of Healaugh in Swaledale being Copyhold of the said Manor To Hold the same to their assigns forever.

I give and bequeath to my daughters ELIZABETH and HANNAH my Copyhold lands called Jacksons Intacks situate in the Manor of Healaugh aforesaid and also those Freehold dwelling houses with a stable and garden situate at Healaugh ... the Copyhold being in the occupation of DOROTHY PLACE and the Freehold being in the occupation of JAMES PEDLEY To Hold the same to them during their joint lives

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand the 29 April 1872
