The Will of Samuel Broadfield

 

In the name of God Amen, I Samuel Broadfield in the Parish of Felmersham in the County of Bedford being of sound mind and memory make this my last will and testament - my temporal estate I bequeath and dispose of in the following manner. Imprimis I gave and bequeath to my wife all my estate lands and tenaments ******* ****** during her natural life. Then after my wife deceased I give and bequeath to my son Robert the house I now live in, and what there unto belongs barns gardins and well. I turn after my wife decease I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Neal the house she now live in with what there unto belongs a barn and shop and with a privelidge to the well and Wm Neal a privelidge to lay wood against the sawpit and to use the pit in the close. I turn after my wife decease I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth the house John Lowle? now lives in with what there unto belongs and a privelidge to the well and Robert and Edward to pay him five pounds a piece out of their estates. I turn as for my stock in trade and book debts to be valued and to pay what debts I owe and for the overplush if their be any to be parted between them all in equal parts. I turn the bruing vessel with ale the utensils I give and bequeath to my son Robert and if my stock in trade should whant of paying my debts for Robert to pay sumthing out of the bruing utensils. I turn as to my wareing aparil and household goods I give and bequeath to my Wife at her disposal whom I constitute and appoint executrix and my son Robert executor together of this my last will and testament and I do hereby utterly revoke disallow and disanul all former bequests wills and legacies by me heretofore in any wise left or made declaring ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal. Twenty third day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy six. Samuel Broadfield.

Sign'd seal'd Publish'd and declar'd by the within named testator Samuel Broadfield to be his last will and testament in presence of us who subserl'd our names in presence of the said testator. William Dennis, Winifred French, Sam.l Dennis.

 

Nov 11th 1786. Prev'd on the oath of Sarah & Robert Broadfield executors herein named before the Rev.d John Hook Sunsgate. Exd.
