This is the last Will & Testament
of me Thomas Brayne of Banbury in the County of Oxford Surgeon I
give and bequeath unto my brother Henry Robert Brayne with whom
I am now in partnership as a Surgeon subject to the payment by
him of my share of the debts which may be owing from the said
partnership at the time of my decease my share of all monies and
credits which shall be then due and owing to the said
partnership also all professional books and instruments of any
sort or sorts that may be our joint property at the time of my
decease and the value of the said partnership business upon
condition that he shall pay to my father annually for life fifty
pounds or as much of that sum as my father may please to take in
addition to what he now allows him and all the rest residue
remainder of my personal estate monies goods chattels credits
and bequeath the same to my wife ffanny Brayne for her own
absolute use and benefit and I hereby appoint her sole Executrix
of this my last will and testament hereby revoking every other
will by me made at any time heretofore made In Witness whereof I
the said Thomas Brayne the testator have to this my last will
and testament contained in one sheet of paper set my hand and
seal the fifteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and thirty three Thomas Brayne
signed sealed published and declared by the said Thomas Brayne
the testator as and for his last will and testament in the
presence of us who in the presence at his request and in the
presence of each other have hereto severally subscribed our
names as witnesses thereto Harriette Rolls Banbury –
Richard Henry Rolls Solr. Banbury.
Proved at London 30th
October 1838 before the Judge by the Oath of ffrances in the
will written ffanny Brayne Widow the Relict the sole executrix
to whom administration was granted having been first sworn by
commission only to administer.
