The Will of Anne Branson

 



In the name of God, Amen I Anne Branson of Little Crakehall in the County of York , widow, being aged and decayed but in good and perfect memory, thanks be to God, do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following. That is to say, first I give and bequeath my soul and body into the hands of Almighty God.
 Secondly, I in consideration of certain sums of money which I have had and received of Dorothy Lucas of the same town and daughter of John Lucas, and for the love I bear to her do hereby give unto the said Dorothy Lucas all my goods moveable and immoveable and all my debts, rents, arrerages of rents, gifts and grants and all other things whatsoever unto me belonging and especially all the sums of money due unto me by Miles Metcalfe, George Storey, William Jackson, their heirs and assigns. 
Thirdly I do make and ordain the said Dorothy Lucas my sole executor in witness whereof I have herewith set my hand and seal the four and twentieth day of June 1650, 
Anne Branson, her mark.
