The Will of Lucy Branch

 

In the Name of God Amen I Lucy the Wife of John Branch of Tostock in the County of Suffolk doth publish and declare this my last Will and Testament 1st I nominate and appoint Thomas Irons of Icklingham in the County of Suffolk and Edwd White Senr of No 24 Bolingbroke Row Walworth Turnpike in the County of Surry my Executors in the hopes of their performing every thing according to the Will of my late Brother Richard Crannis of Bath in the County of Somerset wherein I was appointed sole Executrix 2nd I recommend to my Executors to pay my Sister Ann Crannis of Newington Surry whatever is owing to her as her share from the Will of her and my late Brother Richard Crannis and that the same may be paid weekly Lastly my reason of not appointing my loving husband John Branch as one of my Executors is that as he do not receive any benefit from the Will of my said Brother Richard Crannis I think he ought to be exonerated from all trouble attending it This I declare to be my last Will and Testament bearing date this ninth day of September one thousand eight hundred and twenty three Lucy Branch
