The Will of Christopher Bowman

 

In the Name of God Amen. I CHRISTOPHER BOWMAN of Gainford in County Durham do make and ordain my last will and testament in form and manner following that is to say, First I will that my debts and funeral charges be discharged.

Also I give unto my daughter THOMASIN BOWMAN £60.

Also I give unto my daughter ANNIE BOWMAN £60.

All the rest and residue of my personal estate goods and chattels whatsoever I do give and bequeath unto my loving wife JANE BOWMAN whom I do hereby appoint full and sole executrix of this my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 2 September 1771

Witnesses Philip Airey, John Wass.

 

Probate granted to Jane Bowman 16 May 1772
