This is the last Will & Testament of me
William Bond of Tyneham in the Isle of Purbeck & County of
Dorset Clerk I give and devise my dwelling house at Tyneham in
which I now reside with the gardens orchard & pleasure grounds
thereunto belonging together with the Avenue Hole Field Garden
Plot stable Close Westmead & all other lands now in my
occupation unto my wife Jane Bond for her life & from & after
her decease I give & devise the same unto my son John Bond & his
heirs I give & bequeath all & singular my household goods &
furniture books pictures plate china glass linen horses with
their harness Cows Carriages Carts wines & liquors & all other
my chattels & effects (except money of every kind) which shall
be in & about my said dwelling house & premises at Tyneham at
the time of my decease (except as I shall otherwise specifically
bequeath by this my Will or any Codicil thereto)unto my said
wife for her own use absolutely and I give to my said wife the
sum of four hundred pounds for her immediate occasions to be
paid to her immediately after my decease I give to my son Henry
Bond the sum of one thousand pounds of the three per cent
Consols I give to my son Thomas Bond of one thousand pounds of
the three per cent Consols I give to my son John Bond in trust
for the building of a Parsonage House at Steeple one thousand
pounds of the three per cent Consols I give to Esther Rice One
hundred pounds I give to William Norris one hundred pounds I
give to William Hind Thirty Pounds I give to each of my other
servants five pounds I give to the Dorset County Hospital Twenty
pounds I give to the Poor of Steeple Parish Ten Pounds I give to
the Poor of Tyneham Parish Ten Pounds All the Residue of my
Estate & Effects both real & personal I give devise & bequeath
unto my said son John Bond his heirs executors & administrators
respectively And I appoint the said John Bond Executor of this
my Will In Witness whereof I the said William Bond have hereunto
set my hand this 20th day of November 1846

This is a Codicil to the last Will of me
William Bond of Tyneham in the Isle of Purbeck & County of
Dorset Clerk Whereas under & by virtue of a Settlement made
previously to & in contemplation of my marriage with my wife
Jane Bond daughter of the late Henry Briggs of Stockton in the
County of Wilts Esq the sum of £16169 – 13 -2 Consolidated Bank
Annuities was vested in the late John Bond Esq & upon certain
trusts declared thereof by an Indenture bearing date on or about
the 16th day of April 1794 (that is to say) Upon certain trusts
therein mentioned for the benefit of myself & my said wife for
our respective lives and from & after the decease of the
survivor of us Upon trust for all & every such one or more of my
children by my said wife thereafter to be begotten to be vested
& payable at such time or respective times & in such parts &
proportions as I the said William Bond should by deed or writing
or by my last Will or Codicil in writing to be by me executed in
the presence of two or more credible witnesses direct or appoint
And whereas the said John Bond & Thomas Davis have both departed
this life but the said sum of £16169 – 13 -2 is still standing
in their names in the Books of the Governor & Company of the
Bank of England Now pursuant to & by force & virtue & in
exercise & execution of the aforesaid power or authority to me
for this purpose given or reserved as hereinbefore is mentioned
& of every other power or authority in any wise enabling me in
this behalf I the said William Bond do by this Codicil to my
last Will direct & appoint that the said sum of £16169 – 13 -2
Consolidated Bank Annuities & the stocks funds & securities in
or upon which the same shall be for the time being be laid out
and invested & the interest dividends & annual proceeds thereof
& any other stocks & monies whatsoever (if any) which under & by
virtue of my said marriage settlement I have power to appoint to
& amongst my children in manner aforesaid Shall immediately from
& after the decease of the survivor of myself & my said wife go
to & be In trust for my five surviving children by my said wife
(that is to say)Jane Bond Mary Bond John Bond Henry Bond &
Thomas Bond their respective executors administrators & assigns
to be divided between & amongst them in equal shares &
proportions share & share alike And whereas by my said Will I
have bequeathed to my said Wife for her own use absolutely all &
singular my household goods & furniture books pictures plate
china glass linen horses with their harness Cows Carriages Carts
Wines & liquors & all other my chattels & effects except money
of every kind which at the time of my decease shall be in or
about my dwelling house at Tyneham in which I usually reside &
the premises surrounding the same except such as is otherwise
specifically bequeathed by that my Will or any Codicil thereto
Now I hereby revoke the said bequest of my household goods &
furniture books pictures plate china glass linen & all utensils
& implements in & about my said dwelling house at Tyneham & the
outhouses & premises surrounding the same but I hereby ratify &
reconfirm the bequest to my said Wife of all & singular my
horses with their harness & furniture Cows & other livestock
Carriages Carts Wines & liquors Hay Corn & other stores in &
about my said house & premises at Tyneham & elsewhere and all
other my chattels & effects bequeathed to my said Wife by my
said Will whereof the bequest to her contained in my said Will
is not hereby revoked And I hereby declare my will & meaning to
be that my said bequest to my said Wife shall be held to extend
to & comprehend all & whatsoever those horses with their harness
& furniture cows & other live stock carriages wine liquors Hay
Corn & other stores in & about my said house & premises at
Tyneham & elsewhere And whereas by my said Will I have given &
devised my said dwelling house at Tyneham with the gardens
pleasure grounds & certain lands & fields in my said Will
particularly mentioned and all other lands in my own occupation
unto my said wife for her life And whereas all my woods coppices
& plantations at Tyneham are in my own occupation Now I hereby
revoke the said devise to my said wife of such the said lands &
fields in my said will particularly mentioned except as to such
of the plantations as immediately surrounding my dwelling house
at Tyneham But I hereby declare that it shall be lawful for my
said wife during her life from time to time & at all times
freely to have & take from any or either of the said woods
coppices & plantations all such frith & woods for fences fuel or
otherwise for her own use as she shall choose & require without
making any payment or compensation for the same And whereas by
my said Will I have given all my residue of my real & personal
estate to my said son John Bond his heirs executors &
administrators respectively Now I hereby declare that the said
residuary devise & bequest shall not be deemed or construed to
be an exercise of any Power of Appointment which I may happen to
have over any real or personal estate whatsoever In witness
whereof I the said William Bond have hereunto my hand this ninth

I William Bond Clerk of Tyneham in the
County of Dorset do make this a Codicil to my last Will &
Testament I have left one thousand pounds for the building of a
Parsonage House at Steeple I hereby revoke that bequest I give
to my son Henry Bond in addition to what I have given by Will
one thousand & five hundred pounds in the three per cent Consols
I give to my daughters Jane & Mary one thousand pounds each in
the three per cent Consols Instead of one hundred pounds to
Esther Rice & William Norris I give fifty pounds to each Instead
of thirty pounds to Joseph Hind I give fifty pounds Having given
to each of my other servants living with me at my decease five
pounds except George Spencer unless he be fifteen years of age
Sign’d & publish’d as my Codicil to my last Will & Testament on
this 30th day of October 1849 to which I have hereunto set my

This is a Codicil to the last Will of me
William Bond of Tyneham in the Isle of Purbeck & County of
Dorset Clerk Whereas by my last Will and some Codicil or
Codicils thereto or by some one of such instruments (which being
left in my house at Tyneham I am not now able to refer to) I
have bequeathed £2000 Consolidated Bank annuities to my son
Henry Bond And whereas I have lately given a like sum of £2000
Consols to my said son in order that the same might forthwith be
transferred to the Trustees of the Settlement made on his
marriage and which last mentioned sum I intend to be in lieu of
the said £2000 Consols so bequeathed to him as aforesaid Now I
do hereby revoke & make void the said bequest of £2000
Consolidated annuities in whatever fraction or form it may have
been bequeathed by me to my said son as aforesaid In Witness
whereof I the said William Bond have hereunto set my hand at
Clifton in the County of Gloucester this fifth day of April 1850

This is a Codicil to the last Will of me
William Bond of Tyneham in the County of Dorset Clerk I bequeath
to my son Henry Bond One thousand pounds Consolidated Bank
annuities Provided nevertheless that if that if my said last
Will or any Codicil or Codicils thereto or by any Settlement or
other instrument heretofore executed by me my said son will
become entitled immediately on my decease to any money or stock
amounting in value to one thousand pounds Consolidated Bank
annuities over & above what he will be entitled to receive on
the decease of the survivor of myself & my wife under my
Marriage Settlement or any other instrument heretofore executed
by me then & in that case I revoke & make void the said legacy
of one thousand pounds Consolidated Bank annuities expressed to
be bequeathed to him by this present Codicil And whereas I have
bequeathed fifty pounds to my servant Joseph Hind I hereby
revoke the same legacy and in lieu thereof I give to the said
Joseph Hind one hundred pounds In Witness whereof I the said
William Bond have hereunto set my hand this third day of

This is a Codicil to the last Will of me
William Bond of Tyneham in the County of Dorset Clerk Whereas I
believe I have bequeathed to my late servant Thomas Spencer by
the name of George Spencer or some other name or description the
sum of five pounds Now I hereby revoke the said legacy & every
other legacy if any which I have given my late servant In
witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 8th day of Feby
