The Will of Dennis Bond

 

In the name of God Amen I Dennis Bond of in the parish of Steeple in the Isle of Purbecke in the Countie of Dorsett Esquire doe make this my last Will and Testament the Thirteenth Day of March in the yeare of our Lord God according to the Computation of the Church of England One Thousand six hundred ffiftie Seaven : 1657 In primis I doe settle out of my Lands and Leases their….of my ffarme of Lutton in the parish of Steeple in the Countie of Dorsett aforesaid one annuitie or Rent Charge of nyntie pounds by the yeare upon my beloved Wife that now is Elizabeth during her naturall life to be paid her Quarterly after my decease And whereas there are Certaine Leases the one of the Ladie Beacham her life and of my sonne John Bond his life now remaining on my ffarme of Lutton I doe give these Leases to my Executor paying out of the same Leases the annuitie or Rent Charge of an hundred pounds by the yeare aforesaid and if the aforesaid Leases determine during the life of my Wife Elizabeth That then my heires male on whom I have settled the remainder by a deed bearing date the Third of ffebruarie One Thousand six hundred ffiftie Seaven shall pay unto her the said Summe of one hundred pounds by the yeare Item I give unto my second sonne William Bond All my Lands Houses Orchards Gardens Backsides….Stables ….Outhouses Bruhouses Bakehouses and my dwelling house lying in Melcombe Regis in the Incorporation of Weymouth and Melcombe Regis lying in the Streete Called Saint Thomas Streete in the Countie of Dorsett aforesaid during his life and after his decease to the heires male of his Bodie lawfully begotten and for want of heires male of my sonne William Then to my sonne Nathaniell and his heires for ever Alwaies provided That my sonne William and his heires Male and he then shall have and possesse these houses Lands and the Appurtenances aforesaid in Melcombe Regis shall pay or cause to be paid the Summe of Twentie pounds of Currant English monie unto my Daughter Sarah Meler during her naturall life that is to say after my decease to pay her five pounds upon anie of the ffeasts that shall first happen of the Twentie first of March the Twentie ffower of June the Twenty nyne of September or the Twentie ffive of December which of these dayes shall first happen immediately after my decease Item I give unto my daughter Sarah her eldest sonne the summe of One hundred pounds of Currant English monie Item I give unto my Daughter Mellew Daughter Anne the Summe of one hundred pounds of Currant English monie Item I give unto my sonne Nathaniell the Summe of ffive hundred pounds of Currant English monie Item I give unto my Servant Mary Patricke the summe of Tenn pounds of Currant English monie if she be my Servant and dwelling in house with mee att my decease Item I do nominate and appoynte my Sonne Nathaniell to be Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witnes ofr a truth I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale The day and Yeare first above written in the presence of me Dennis Bond: Tho: ffauntleroy Wm Cupper
