This is the last Will and
Testament of me John Bolland of Northallerton in the County of York
Cordwainer made in manner following that is to say I give and
bequeath All that my messuage tenement or dwellinghouse with the
cottages shops garden outbuildings and appurtenances thereto
belonging situate on the west side of the Townstreet of
Northallerton aforesaid now occupied by my self and others unto and
to the use of my brother Robert Bolland of Northallerton aforesaid
Cordwainer his heirs executors administrators and assigns subject to
the payment thereout at the expiration of twelve calendar months
after my decease of the following legacies namely to my sister Jane
Moll the sum of fifty pounds To my sister Mary Shaw the sum of five
pounds and to my sister Dorothy Atkinson the sum of one pound to
purchase mourning. I bequeath to my niece Sarah Jane Moll one
feather bed and bedding thereto belonging. I give devise and
bequeath unto my nephew James Bolland my share in the Northallerton
Provident Union Corn Mill and as to all the rest residue and
remainder of my household furniture china linen beds and bedding and
all other my goods chattels and effects whatsoever together with all
my stock in trade book and other debts money and securities for
money and all other my personal estate and effects whatsoever I give
and bequeath the same unto my brother Robert Bolland for his own
absolute use and benefit subject to the payment thereout of all my
just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses. And I appoint the
said Robert Bolland Sole Executor of this my Will and revoke all
former Wills. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this
ninth day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight
hundred and sixty three.

same time who at his request and in his presence and in the presence
of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.

Probate – York District Registry On the twenty second day of
February 1864 the Will of John Bolland late of Northallerton in the
County of York Cordwainer deceased was proved by the oath of Robert
Bolland the brother of the said deceased the sole Executor named in
the said Will he having been first sworn duly to administer.

On the twenty second day of
February 1864 the Will of John Bolland late of Northallerton in the
County of York Cordwainer deceased, who died on the twenty seventh
day of January 1864, was proved in the district Registry attached to
Her Majesty’s Court of Probate at York by the Oath of Robert Bolland
of Northallerton aforesaid Cordwainter the Brother of the said
deceased the sole Executor therein named he having been first sworn
duly to administer. |
