This is the last Will and Testament of me
William Boddy of Beaconsfield in the County of Bucks Schoolmaster
who am of sound mind memory and understanding ffirst I commend my
Soul to God who gave it and my body I commit to the Earth to be
decently and frugally interred at the discretion of my Executrix
hereinafter named and my worldly Estate I dispose of as follows I
give and devise unto my dear Wife Elizabeth Boddy all that ffreehold
Estate situate in London End Beaconsfield aforesd which I have
purchased of Mr John Cutler consisting of a Dwellinghouse Schoolroom
washouse and other Outbuildings Play ground and garden in my own
occupation and of a Tenement Workshop and other buildings yard
gateway and garden in the occupation of William Hitchcock to hold
the said ffreehold Estate and Appurtenances to my said Wife
Elizabeth Boddy for and during the term of her natural life and from
and after I give and devise the said ffreehold Estate and
Appurtenances to my eldest Son James Alfred Boddy his heirs and
assigns for ever on condition that he shall pay to my Son Septimus
Ebenezer Boddy the sum of four hundred pounds lawful money of Great
Britain and to my daughter Cecilia Boddy the sum of one hundred
pounds of like lawful money of Great Britain and I charge my said
Estate with the payment of the said Legacies Also I give and devise
unto my said Wife Elizabeth Boddy all those five ffreehold Tenements
with the Gardens Gateway and Appurtenances thereto belonging situate
at Aylesbury End Beaconsfield aforesaid and now in the occupation
of Weston Hannah Monk William Almond William Hare and
William Brown To hold the said Tenements gardens gateway and
Appurtenances to my said Wife Elizabeth Boddy for and during the
term of her natural life and from and after her decease I give and
devise the said Tenements Gardens gateway and Appurtenances to my
Son Walter Thompson Boddy his heirs and assigns for ever Also I give
to my said daughter Cecilia Boddy all the household Goods books
linen and Chattels that shall be in her dwellinghouse and Premises
at the time of my decease also all monies due on account of the said
Business And finally I give and bequeath unto my aforesaid Wife
Elizabeth Boddy all my household goods books and Linen not otherwise
disposed of and all my money Notes credits and in short all the
residue of my Estate and Effects whatsoever subject to the payment
of my just debts ffuneral expences and the expences of proving this
my Will And I hereby appoint my said Wife Elizabeth Boddy soel
Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all
former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have to this my last
Will and Testament set and subscribed my hand and seal this twenty
fourth day of August in the year of our Lord 1827 Wm Boddy
