And whereas Thomas Boardman, late of Halliwell, did give and bequeath to Elizabeth his daughter, a childs part or portion being one third of his whole estate, my will is that if the said Elizabeth Boardman do by her carriage and behaviour please and give content to my executors hereafter named, I shall give the said Elizabeth so much of my estate and goods as shall make the said child’s part or portion left by her father to amount to the sum of one hundred pounds, but upon her misbehaviour or displeasing my executors I give my whole estate and goods to be equally divided between Thomas my son, and Elizabeth my daughter, but if the said child’s part but if the said child’s part be made up of one hundred pounds to Elizabeth then I give to Thomas my son, the remainder only. And if it shall happen that if either of my children should die before they shall be of capacity to dispose of their estates then the survivor shall have the whole and lasly I make an appoint Oliver Stones of Heaton, and Richard Bolton of Halliwell my executors hoping they will perform the same as my trust is reposed in them.
