The Will of Matthew Bloxham

 

I Matthew Bloxham of Ide Hill in the parish of Sundridge and County of Kent Clerk do this twenty eighth day of March one thousand eight hundred and forty three make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say I give devise and bequeath unto my wife Maria Bloxham the ffield at Ide Hill which I purchased of the Reverend John Cleaver Banks and now in my own occupation to have and to hold with the appurtenances thereof to her the said Maria Bloxham her heirs and assigns for ever and I do hereby give devise and bequeath to my wife Maria Bloxham a cottage or dwelling at Ide Hill which I built upon a piece of land which I purchased of William Webb John Webb and Thomas Webb on the twenty eighth of August 1830 and now in the occupation of John Disker and I also give devise and bequeath to my wife Maria Bloxham the remainder of the lease of a thousand years of a piece of land which I purchased of Sir Richard Henry Charles Murcott Baronett on the first of October 1830 situate at Ide Hill and adjoining the field which I purchased of the Reverend John Cleaver Banks I also give to my wife Maia Bloxham all my plate jewels linen household goods book maps prints and papers also a share in the Grand Junction Canal and all shares standing in my name in the British Commercial Insurance Company and all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my estate whatsoever and of what nature kind or quality soever the same may be unto my said Wife Maria Bloxham for her use and benefit absolutely and I do hereby make ordain constitute and appoint my said Wife Maria Bloxham and her nephew Robert Hills Esquire of Colne Park near Halstead in the County of Essex the executrix and executor of this my last will and testament In witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament set and subscribed my hand and seal the day and year above written Matthew Bloxham
