Will of
William Bloomfield of
Great Bealings Suffolk
Died
November 25th
1847
This is
the last will and
testament of me, William
Bloomfield of Great
Bealings in the County
of Suffolk Market
Gardener made this
fourth day of August in
the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred
and forty seven. First I
direct that all my just
debts funeral and
probate charges and
incidental thereto may
be fully paid and
satisfied I give and
bequeath unto my
Grandson William Malden
my Market Road Cart
together with the
Harness used therewith
for his own absolute use
and benefit.
And I
order and direct my
executors herein after
named or the Survivor of
them his executors or
Administrators with all
convenient speed after
my decease to convert
into ready money by one
or more Sale or Sales
either by public Auction
private Contract or by
valuation at their
discretion All such part
and parts of my personal
Estate and Effects
(except my said Cart and
Harness herein before
disposed of) as shall
not consist of money or
securities for money And
shall and do call and
get in recover and
receive all such part
and parts thereof as
shall consist of money
or securities for money
And the money to arise
from or by such Sale or
Sales and to be called
in and received as
aforesaid and all other
my personal Estate and
Effects consisting of
what kind or nature
soever (except as
aforesaid) after and
subject to the payment
of my just debts funeral
and probate charges and
incidental thereto I
direct shall be divided
into four equal parts or
shares and I give and
bequeath one of such
shares to my son George
Bloomfield one other of
such shares to my
daughter Betty Wade one
other such shares to my
daughter Rebecca
Scarlett and the
remaining fourth part or
share I give and
bequeath to my
Granddaughter Sophy
Field and to Joseph
Bloomfield the natural
son of my daughter Mary
to be equally divided
between them share and
share alike. And I
nominate constitute and
appoint my said Grandson
William Malden and
Daniel Charles Meadows
of Great Bealings
aforesaid Gentleman
executors of this my
Will And I hereby
authorize and empower
the said Daniel Charles
Meadows to make the
usual and accustomed
charges as an Attorney
and Solicitor for all
business done by him in
relation to the probate
of this my Will and in
the execution of the
trusts thereof otherwise
in any way concerning
the same and the
settlement of my affairs
And lastly I revoke all
former Wills by me at
any time heretofore made
and declare this to be
my last Will and
Testament In Witness
whereof I the said
William Bloomfield have
to this my last Will and
Testament set my hand
the day and year first
above written

of Suffolk Gentleman do
solemnly and sincerely
declare that I know and
am well acquainted with
the Family of William
Bloomfield late of Great
Bealings in the said
County of Suffolk Market
Gardener deceased and I
know that the said
deceased had a Grandson
who was commonly called
and known by the name of
William Malden but whose
name was in fact William
Morling and I further
declare that the said
deceased had no other
Grandson than the said
William Morling who
could so answer the
description contained,
as I am informed, in the
Will of the said
deceased in which he
appoints his “Grandson
William Malden” one of
the executors thereof
And I lastly declare
that William Morling of
great Bealings in the
said County of Suffolk
Market Gardener who, I
am informed, has offered
himself to the Court
aforesaid as such
Executor is the Grandson
of the said Testator
referred to in this my
declaration And I make
this solemn declaration
conscientiously
believing the same to be
true and by virtue of a
provision of an Act made
and passed in the fifth
and sixth years of the
Reign of His late
Majesty William the
fourth intitled (sic)
“An Act to repeal an Act
of the present Session
of Parliament intitled
“An Act for the more
effectual abolition of
oaths and affirmations
taken and made in
various departments of
the state and to
substitute declarations
in lieu thereof and for
the more entire
suppression of voluntary
and extra judicial oaths
and affidavits and to
make other provisions
for the aboltuion of
unnecessary oaths”
