Blaides of Spring End in Swaledale, Yorkshire
In the Name of God Amen the 17th September
1669 I GEORGE BLAIDES of Spring End the unprofitable servant of God
weake in body but strong in mind and memory doe willingly and with a
free heart render and give againe into the hands of my Lord and
Creator my spirit which he of his Fatherly goodness gave unto me
when he first fashioned me in my mothers womb makeing me a liveing
and a reasonable Creature nothing doubting but that His infinite
mercys sett forth in the pretious Death and blood of Jesus Christ
our only Saviour and Redeemer And He will receive my soul into His
Glory and place in the Company of his blessed Angells and heavenly
and blessed Saints And as concerning my body even with a good will
and Free Heart I give it over Comending it to the Earth where of it
came nothing doubting but according to the article of Faith at the
Great Day of the General Resurection when we shall appear before the
Judegement Seate of Christ I shall receive the same againe by the
mighty power of God wherewith he is able to subdue all things
himselfe And as a Corporal weake and vile body as it is now but an
uncorruptable body Imortall Strong and perfect body in all points
like unto the Glorious body of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
which will and testament I make in manner following First I will
that all such debts and dutys as I ow of right or consience to any
person or persons be well and truly contented and payed without any
delay or contradiction And for my debts paid and my Funeral expences
performed by mine Executors hereafter menconed Secondly I bequeath
unto my loveing Executors GEORGE BLAIDES my brothers son and AGNES
BLAIDES my loveing wife Joynt Executors All my lands goods chattells
moveable and imoveable to be equally divided And I doe hereby
revoake disannull and make voyd all former wills In witness whereof
I have herunto subscribed my name and set my hand and seal [hole in
