This is the Last Will
and Testament of John
BIRD of the parish of
Wallazey in the County
of Chester made
published and declared
this Twenty-fifth day of
January in the Year of
our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and eleven
in Manner and Form
following that is to say
First (after payment of
my Funeral Expenses) I
give and bequeath all my
personal Estate of what
kind soever the same may
be at my Decease unto my
wife Elizabeth BIRD to
and for her own use and
benefit and to be at her
own disposal Also I give
devise and bequeath unto
my said wife Elizabeth
BIRD all and singular my
Real Estate situate
lying and being in the
Township of Wallazey
aforesaid to have and to
hold unto her the said
Elizabeth BIRD to use
occupy or otherwise
enjoy the Profits of the
said
Estate for and during
the Term of her natural
Life only and at her
Decease I give devise
and bequeath my said
Estate situate as
aforesaid unto my son
John BIRD of Liverpool
in the County of
Lancaster To Have and to
hold unto him the said
John BIRD His Heirs
Executors Administrators
or assigns for ever
charged and chargeable
nevertheless as herein
after mentioned that is
to say charged and
chargeable with the sum
of Two hundred and
twenty five pounds of
Lawful Money of Great
Britain to be paid at
the Expiration of six
months after my said
wife’s decease unto my
Daughters Phebe,
Elizabeth, Anne, Mary,
Margaret, Alice, Grace,
Jane and Isabel their
Heirs Executors
Administrators or
Assigns respectively
share and share alike
And also charged and
chargeable with the
further sum of Forty
pounds of Lawful Money
of Great Britain which I
acknowledge so to owe
unto Edward MORLEY as a
Debt and which I hereby
direct to be paid unto
the said Edward MORLEY
Husband of my Daughter
Anne of Liverpool in the
County of Lancaster
aforesaid And I hereby
nominate and appoint my
said wife Elizabeth BIRD
and my son John BIRD
join’d Executors of this
my Will In witness
whereof I have hereunto
put and set my Hand and
Seal the Day and Year
first within written
