In the Name of God Amen I William Biddle
of the Parish of Mortlake in the County of Surry Malster being
of sound mind memory and understanding do make this my last Will
and Testament in manner following ffirst I desire to be decently
buried at the discretion of my Executor and Executrix
hereinafter named Item I give and bequeath to my Wife Mary
Biddle all my Household Goods Plate China and Linen of every
kind to dispose of as she thinks proper Item I desire and direct
that after all my Books Debts and all Money owing to me at my
decease are collected and my Stock in Trade disposed of That the
Money arising therefrom after all my just debts and ffuneral
expences are paid shall be Placed in some of the Public ffunds
by my said Executor and Executrix as soon as Possible after my
decease the Interest of which said Sum so placed out as
aforesaid I give to my said Wife Mary Biddle during her Life
from and after her decease I give the said Principal and
Interest of the same to my Daughter Mary Paine Wife of John
Paine Butcher of Uxbridge in the County of Middlesex and to the
Heirs of her Body lawfully to be begotten And in case my
Daughter should die without Issue before my said Wife then I
give the same Principal and Interest to my said Wife Mary Biddle
aforesaid if she should be living at her decease but in case my
said Wife should be dead and my Daughter die without Issue then
in that case I give the same to the Heir or next of kin
belonging to my said Wifes family on her side And I hereby
nominate and Appoint Mr Richard Adams of Eastsheen in the Parish
of Mortlake aforesaid ffarmer And my said Wife Mary Biddle
aforesaid Executor and Executrix of this my last Will and
Testament In Witness whereof I the said William Biddle to this
my last Will and Testament contained in one sheet of Paper have
set my Hand and Seal this Eighteenth day of January in the Year
of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy seven Wm
