In the Name of God Amen I John Biddle of
Westend in the Manor and Parish of Hampstead and in the County
of Middlesex Do make this my last Will and Testament in manner
following I Will and desire that my Body be decently and
privately buried at the discretion of my Wife assisted therein
by my two worthy ffriends Robert Long and Robert Hunter each of
Westend in the Parish of Hampstead And as to my temporal Estate
I dispose thereof as follows I give and bequeath unto my much
beloved Wife Elizabeth Collins But now Elizabeth Biddle my
dwelling House and Garden at Westend in the Parish of Hampstead
Westend in the Parish of Hampstead and County of Middlesex
together with my Household ffurniture Goods Chattels Linnen
Plate and every pecuniary claim due to me in short every part of
my Property without reserve I hereby invest her therewith
subject to the following Annuity and Legacies Viz To my Niece
Ann Hatton alias Priest I give and bequeath one Annuity or clear
Yearly Sum of ffive Pounds per Annum during her natural Life to
be paid by two equal half yearly Payments for her sole and
separate use notwithstanding her present or any future Coverture
I likewise bequeath unto my Godson Thomas Young the Sum of
twenty Pounds the said Sum becomes payable to him when he
arrives at the Age of twenty one I likewise bequeath unto my God
Daughter Mary Nass or Nash the Sum of twenty Pounds the said Sum
becomes payable to her when she arrives at the Age of twenty one
Lastly I appoint Mr Robert Long and Mr Robert Hunter of Westend
jointly in trust to see the aforementioned contents of my Will
fully executed and to each of them I bequeath a Gold ring in
remembrance of me John Biddle 17 September 1778
