The Will of John Bevan

 

In the Name of God Amen I John Bevan of the Town and Parish of Langham in the County of Carmarthen Wine Cooper being of Sound and Perfect Memory blessed be God do this fourteenth day of April in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and forty two make and Publish this my last Will and Testamt in manner following (that is to say) ffirst I Give to Mary Bevan my dearly beloved Wife the Sum of Sixty Pounds also I give to my said beloved Wife the sum of ffifty pounds  due and payable by my late dear fathers last Will and Testament at the decease of Mrs Elinor Bevan my Stepmother Also I Give all the rest of my Goods Household Stuff Cattel and Chattles and whatsoever else I Dye Possessed of to my only and dear beloved Daughter Mary Bevan infant and I make and ordain my aforesaid beloved Wife Sole Executrix of this my last Will In Witness whereof I the said John Bevan have to this my last will and Testament set my hand and seal the day and year above Written John Bevan
