The Will of Nathaniel Bennet

 

In the name of God Amen I Nathaniel Bennet of Ranson Ravenstone in the County of Bucks flaxdresser being in health of body & in sound and perfect mind and memory praysed be God for the same and Calling to mind the uncertainty of death and it is appointed for all men once to die do hereby make and ordaine this my Last will and testament in manner & form following Impr I Recommend my Soul into the hands of allmighty god hoping to be Saved and Received into Eternall life through the death …. And Ascension of our Blessed saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ and my body I Recommend to the earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executor herein after named and as for my worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased allmighty god to bless me withal I dispose thereof as follows Item I give and bequeath unto my brother William Bennett & my brother Edward and my brother Benjamin and my Sister Anne Paine and my Sister Frances Wheeler and my Sister Mary Mason and my Sister Elizabeth David Each of them one Shilling a piece to be paid by my Executrix Item I give and bequeath to my Loveing wife Anne Bennet all my goods and Chattells and Personal estate whatsoever after my debts and Legacyes with funerall Expences shall be fully paid and Satisfyed and discharged and I do hereby make ordaine Constitute & Appoint my said Wife Anne Bennet sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament And I do hereby Revoke and make Void all former and other wills & Testaments by me any ways heretofore made declaring this to be my last will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this thirtieth day of March in the Eighth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George over Great Brittaine 1722
