I
Richard Belward of the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn in the County
of Middlesex Gentleman being of sound and disposing mind, memory and
understanding do make ordain and declare this my last Will and
Testament as followeth: I desire to be decently buryed and after all
my just debts and ffuneral expenses are paid and satisfied I give
devise and bequeath unto two Sisters my Susan Kellor of
(Henry Saint Edmunds?) in the County of Suffolk, Widow and Hannah
Belward of the same place, Spinster, all my Ffreehold and Copyhold
Estates situate lying And being in the Countys of Norfolk and
Suffolk to be divided between them equally share and share alike and
to their Heirs forever. Item: I give devise and bequeath unto my
niece Susan Ffisher the Sum of thirty pounds in full of all my
demands that she might could or may have out of my personal Estate.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my niece Ann Fisher the Sum of Twenty
Pounds in full of all demands that she might could or may have out
of my personal Estate. Item: I give devise and bequeath unto the
poor of the Parish of Wolton? in the County of Norfolk the Sum of
five pounds to be distributed between them at the discretion of my
Executor hereinafter named. Item: I give and devise and bequeath
unto the poor of the Parish of Nottingham in the County of Suffolk
the Sum of five pounds to be distributed between them at the
discretion of my Executor hereinafter named and all the rest residue
and remainder of my personal Estate whatsoever which I shall be
possessed of or entitled unto at the time of my decease I likewise
give devise and bequeath unto my said sisters Susan Kellor and
Hannah Belward and unto the four children of the said Susan Kellor
to be divided between them equally share and share alike and I so
hereby make ordain constitute and appoint the said Hannah Belward
Sole Executrix of this my Will and I do hereby revoke all former and
other Wills by me made and declare this to be my last Will and
Testament in Witness whereof the said Richard Belward have hereinto
set my hand and seal this Twenty Second day of April in the Year of
our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and fforty seven ~ R Belward~

This
Will was proved at London the fourth Day of May in the year of our
Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty seven before the
Worshipfull George ? Doctor of Laws Surrogate ? of the Right
Worshipfull John Bettersworth Also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper of
Commissary by the Oath of Hannah Belward, Spinster the sister of the
deceased and Sole Executrix named in the said Will to whom
administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels
and Creditts of the deceased being ffirst sworn duly to administer.
