The Will of Benjamin Beech

 

This is the last will of me Benjamin Beech of Monkton Deverill in the County of Wiltshire Gentleman ffirst all those my Messuages or Tenements Lands Hereditaments and Premises with the Appurtenances lying and being in Upton Noble in the County of Somersett and in the Parishes of East Knoyle and Monkton Deverill in the County of Wilts and in Heveningham in the County of Suffolke or elsewhere in the Kingdome of England I do give and bequeath unto my Cousin Richard Shute of Whately in the said County of Somersett Gentleman and John ffrench of Warminster in the said County of Wilts Gentleman to hold unto them the said Richard Shute and John ffrench their heirs and Assigns for ever upon Trust that the said Richard Shute and John ffrench their heirs and assigns shall with all convenient speed sell and dispose of all my said Lands Tenements and Hereditaments to the best purchasor or purchasors that can be gotten for the same and thereout to pay all my just debts Legacyes and ffunerall Expences and the overplus to pay and I do hereby will and give the same (after all just expences are defrayed) unto my dear and loving Mother Margaret Beach and I do hereby charge all my said Lands Tenements and Hereditaments with the Payment of my said Debts Legacyes and ffunerall Expences And I do give and bequeath unto the said Richard Shute john ffrench and unto my Brother and Sister William and Margaret Beach and unto my Nephew Thomas Westley to each of them ten pounds to buy them mourning alsoe all the rest and residue of my Goods Chattells rights and creditts whatsoever not otherwise disposed of I do give e and bequeath unto the said Richard Shute and John ffrench whome I do nominate and appoint full and sole Executors of this my Will in Trust for the use and benefit of my said deare Mother Margaret Beach In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seal this twenty eighth Day of June in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and thirty nine Ben: Beech
