The Will of James BEARPER (otherwise BEARPARK)

 

I JAMES BEARPER otherwise BEARPARK of Bainbridge in the parish of Aisgarth and county of York husbandman do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following to witt. I give and devise to my trusty and well beloved friend and neighbour JAMES CALVERT of Bainbridge the house wherein I now dwell and the garth on the backside of it in trust for the use of my nephew WILLIAM BEARPER of Bainbridge ..... I give and devise to the said JAMES CALVERT in consideration of the many good services I have heretofore received from him all the right title interest claim demand .... in one Freehold close called Huttinhow and the cattlegates thereunto belonging situate in Bainbridge .... I also give and bequeath to my brother WILLIAM BEARPER one shilling All the rest and residue I give and bequeath to my dear sister ANN BEARPER otherwise BEARPARK of Bainbridge spinster whom I nominate consitute and appoint sole executrix of this my Last Will and Testament revoking all other former wills .... in witnesses whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal 21 February 1746 / 7
