This is the last Will of me Jane Elizabeth Bates of Penshurst in the County of Kent Spinster I give and bequeath unto my uncle William Nimrod Bates of Penshurst aforesaid ffarmer all my Real and Personal Estate Upon Trust to pay the interest and annual produce thereof to my Grandmother Martha Bates during her life And from and immediately after her decease I give and bequeath the whole of my said Real and Personal Estate unto and equally between my Brother John ffairhall Bates and the said William Nimrod Bates their heirs executors administrators and assigns as tenants in common and not as joint tenants and to the survivor of them his heirs executors administrators and assigns I appoint the said William Nimrod Bates Executor of this my Will As witness my hand this thirty first day of December one thousand eight hundred and forty six Jane E Bates
