This is the last Will and testament of me
Martin Barr of the City of Worcester Porcelain Manufacturer I
bequeath to my dear Wife Hannah Barr all my Household ffurniture
Plate and Linen ... and Books and also my two policies of assurance
in the London Trinity Office and to whom I also give and bequeath
the Sum of One hundred and fforty Pounds Per Annum for her life by
four equal quarterly payments to be made by my Sons Martin Barr and
George Barr in consideration of my share of the goodwill of the
Porcelain Concern carried on in Worcester and London which I give
and bequeath to them as Tenants in Common and I do hereby charge the
same with the said Annuity accordingly Provided and in case it shall
be more satisfactory to my wife to have the said Annuity purchased
and well secured I request it may be so by my said Sons as aforesaid
or she may make such purchase from my other Estate general but in
the latter case I direct my said Sons to yield and pay an equivalent
to the purchase money of an annuity of the same Amount unto my said
other Estate general for the benefit of all my Children for my said
Wife’s life in lieu of the said Annuity they are herewith requested
to pay my said wife themselves it is my will that what remains due
of the purchase money and Interest thereon of the Moiety of the
porcelain works and the four Houses adjoining now Inhabited by James
Pennington James Price E.... Hunt and Joseph Johnston situate in the
Parish of Saint Alban in the City of Worcester which were conveyed
to me by Mr Joseph fflight should be settled for with him his Heirs
or assigns out of my other Effects in the partnership concern and
further it is my will that the Moiety of the said porcelain works
and of the four houses adjoining be valued by persons of Skill and
integrity to my Sons Martin Barr and George Barr their Heirs and
assigns one person to be named by them and the other person to be
named by Mrs Barr and my other Children who shall be of age to value
the premises and after payment of all my just Debts I desire that
the value of the said Premises and all the residue and Remainder of
my Real and Personal Estate and Effects may be equally divided
amongst the said Martin Barr and George Barr and all other my
Children and their Heirs Executors admors and assigns respectively
equally share and share alike and that the same be paid with
Interest by my Sons Martin Barr and George Barr as soon as each
shall arrive at the age of Twenty one Years or within three Years
after my decease or as much earlier as may be convenient And I
Appoint my dear wife Hannah Barr Executrix and my Sons Martin Barr
and George Barr Executors of this my last Will and Testament In
Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day
of November one thousand eight Hundred and Thirteen Martin Barr
